Nagaland: NSS Units observe 55th NSS Day

National Service Scheme (NSS) in collaboration with Blood Centre District Hospital Dimapur observed NSS Day on the theme “Youth for my Bharat” on September 24 at Eastern Christian College (ECC) multipurpose hall.


The day was also observed by volunteers of NSS units from Patkai Christian College (PCC) and City Law College (CLC) at Bundrock-Chapel Auditorium, PCC.


In a press release by NSS Nodal Officer, Bendangngangshi informed that the program officer, NSS Bendanggangshi delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the significance of the day.


Principal ECC, Dr. Dominic K Khanyo reflected on the theme and the role of youth in nation building. MO Blood Centre District Hospital Dimapur, Dr. Rongsenmar Longkumer spoke on the importance of blood donation and addressed myths surrounding blood donation.
Following the program, a blood donation camp was held, during which 36 students and four teachers donated blood in support of the Camp.


PCC& CLC: Volunteers of NSS from Patkai Christian College and City Law College at the event carried out cleanliness drive by collecting plastic waste & garbage in and around the playground.


Earlier, a brief formal function was held in the auditorium, where welcome speech was delivered by Programme Officer & Lecture, Patkai Christian College,
Bendangnungsang and special number from the NSS volunteers Patkai Christian College.
