Nagaland: Nyusietho graces Yemüshe festival

Advisor of NRE and NSDMA, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe graced the Yemüshe featival at Phor village, Meluri on October 4.

According to DIPR report, Nyusietho in his address said that the festival was to welcome the new harvest of the year and invoking God’s blessing for a bountiful harvest. He therefore appealed to the community to pray for unity and oneness of the society.


ADC Meluri, Neilezo Tep, delivered the greeting message. PAPO Paratsü shared the significant of the Yemüshe festival while Vice president USLB, Kipithong Sangtam delivered the solidary note.


The programme featured cultural dances and traditional games, from five areas of the Pochury. Yemüshe festival, the premier festival of Pochury which is observed annually from October 1- 5.
