DIMAPUR: Officials from Nagaland virtually participated in the National Departmental Summit on Institutionalising Capacity Building: From Training to Performance Linked Governance held on May 15.
The officials included V. Shashank Shekar, additional chief secretary, agriculture department and APC, and director general of Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Nagaland, along with officers from Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P&AR) department—Bendanglila, additional director ATI; Kaholi, joint director ATI; Imlibenla Jamir, deputy director ATI; Peter Konyak, lecturer IT ATI; and Limakumla, under secretary P&AR.
Union minister of state for DoPT, Jitendra Singh, graced the summit as chief guest. S. Radha Chauhan, chairperson of Capacity Building Commission (CBC), delivered the special address, while Rachna Shah, secretary, Ministry of Personnel, chaired the programme. The summit was jointly organised by the Ministry of Personnel and CBC, Government of India.
Senior officials from Administrative Training Institutes (ATIs), Central Training Institutes (CTIs), state representatives from General Administrative Departments, Karmayogi Bharat and other entities attended the deliberations. Discussions focused on four themes—unified framework for role focused and performance linked capacity building, strengthening training institutions, leveraging AI and technology for hyper personalised learning, and reimagining cadre training aligned with CBPs.
The summit marked the culmination of state workshops held across the country, with recommendations submitted to CBC. Emphasis was laid on strengthening citizen centric governance, enhancing administrative efficiency, promoting digital initiatives and sharing best practices among states and institutions. Participants also deliberated on emerging governance challenges and collaborative approaches for effective policy implementation and service delivery.
