DIMAPUR, SEP 2 (NPN): The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) has officially announced that the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games (NOPG) 2026 will be held from November 2 to 14, across the twin host cities of Chümoukedima and Dimapur.
According to the NOA, the disciplines for the Games have been finalized in line with the proposed 4th North East Games 2026, taking into account the available infrastructure and resources in the state. The competitions will feature nine disciplines: Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Football, Pencak Silat, Taekwondo and Wushu, with events for both men and women in most categories.
The Games will see participation from contingents representing all 17 districts of Nagaland, with separate competition notifications to be issued to each concerned sports association.
The NOA has informed that online registration for players and teams will commence on October 1, 2026, and will close on October 15, 2026. No changes to registered names will be permitted after the completion of the registration process.
The Games Organizing Committee will provide accommodation, local transportation, food and technical arrangements for the competitions in the host cities. The dates of arrival and departure for participating contingents will be notified separately.
