The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for Dimapur was held on January 29, at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, under the chairmanship of advisor, Labour and Employment & Skill Development, Excise and chairman, DPDB Dimapur, Moatoshi Longkumer.
According to DPRO Dimapur, at the meeting, the members discussed on the upcoming Nagaland Olympic and Para Olympic Games to be held from February 13 to 17 in Dimapur and Chumoukedima. DC Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang welcomed and thanked Moatoshi and Hekani Jakhalu, for their attendance at the meeting.
DC enlightened the members about the upcoming Nagaland Olympic and Para Olympic Games. As per request by the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) to DPDB Dimapur for funding, the members discussed on the transportation and other logistics for smooth conduct of the games where the three MLAs of Dimapur district and Government departments decided to contribute.
Meanwhile, Moatoshi said that all HODs were responsible when such event takes place at Dimapur and advised them for rendering their services, while Advisor Hekani, shared optimism that 2024 would be a more fruitful year for Dimapur.
Other highlights of the meeting included review of last DPDB minutes, society registration and inclusion of Sr. SDEOs, Directorate of school education in DPDB meetings. While greeting the DPDB members, the DC also reminded the gathering for rededicating themselves in their assigned duties for upliftment of the district.
