The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) has officially announced that the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2026 (NOPG) will be held from April 7 to April 18, 2026, across Kohima, Chümoukedima, and Dimapur.
Football will kick off the Games on April 7, while all other disciplines will begin from April 14. The NOA confirmed that the following sports will be contested, aligning with the upcoming 4th North East Games 2026 and available infrastructure: Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Football, Pencak Silat, Taekwondo, Wushu. A separate notification will be issued for Paralympic disciplines. Athletes will represent the 17 districts of Nagaland. Online registration opens on March 20, 2026, and closes on April 1, 2026. Once registered, no changes to player names will be permitted.
The organizing committee will provide accommodation, local transport, food and technical arrangements in host cities. Additionally, each athlete will receive a lump sum of Rs. 2000 for preparation and bus fares will be reimbursed at NST Deluxe rates.
DCs have been asked to submit bank details to the NOA by March 13, 2026 for fund disbursement. Each district must appoint a Chef de Mission and Deputy Chef de Mission, with details submitted to NOA by March 17, 2026.
