Nagaland: Organisations condole demise of WSH president, Shikaho Zhimomi

Several organisation continue to condole the demise of Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) President, Shikaho Zhimomi

GPRN/NSCN Unification: The Collective Leadership of GPRN/NSCN Unification conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and the entire Sumi community on the irreparable loss of Western Sumi Hoho President, Shikaho Zhimomi.
A condolence message by GPRN/NSCN Unification, stated that his untimely demise has left a deep void in the initiatives towards an amicable political solution, adding that his presence and interventions in resolving conflicts among neighbouring communities will be remembered for years to come.
The Naga National Leadership acknowledges the concerns he consistently voiced regarding the prolonged delay in the political solution and his foresight in cautioning about the changing dimensions of peace with the passage of time. GPRN/NSCN Unification prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extend deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and the Sumi community during this time of grief.

The Western Sümi Kükami Hoho: The Western Sümi Kükami Hoho (WSKH) expressed sorrow by the demise of Shikaho Zhimomi, president of the Western Sümi Hoho (WSH), who passed away in Delhi after a prolonged illness.
A condolence message by WSKH Media Cell stated that he was a visionary leader whose dedication to fostering unity among the Naga community and working tirelessly for the welfare of the people inspired us all. His steadfast commitment to the cause of the Sümi people and the broader Naga community will be remembered for generations. His demise is an immense loss, not only to the Sümi people but to the entire Naga community. We will deeply miss his guidance, wisdom, and leadership.
WSKH also conveyed its heartfelt condolences to his wife, Vihuli Zhimomi, and family members and offered sincerest sympathies and support during this time of grief and prayed for strength for his family to bear this profound loss and that his soul rest in eternal peace.

The Naga People’s Front, Minority Wing: A press release by the president of NPF Minority Wing, Bishnu Bhattacharjee, stated that it is saddened to learn of the demise of Shikaho Zhimomi, president, Western Sumi Hoho, following a brief illness.
The release stated that his passing has left an irreplaceable void in the Sumi community in particular and among the people of Nagaland in general.
It recalled Shikaho Zhimomi as a respected leader and a compassionate human being who will always be remembered for his unwavering dedication, wisdom, and selfless service to society. He was also a popular and highly respected leader among the minority communities, known for extending help and support whenever needed. The release further stated that the members of the Minority Wing pray that the Almighty grants strength, comfort, and solace to the bereaved family and for the noble soul of the departed rests in eternal peace.

Nagaland Garo Tribal Council: The Nagaland Garo Tribal Council (NGTC) expressed profound sadness at the demise of Western Sumi Hoho, President, Shikaho Zhimomi. A condolence message by NGTC stated that he was a highly respected leader among all sections of society, who worked tirelessly for the upliftment of his community and the betterment of society in general, a true and a visionary leader. His passing away is a great loss for the society as a whole. He will always be remembered as a humble leader and a gentleman.
NGTC extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Lord Almighty grant them strength to bear the irreparable loss.

NSCN/GPRN-Reformation: The NSCN/GPRN-Reformation, in a press release by its MIP, stated that it is deeply grieved to learn of the untimely demise of Shikaho Zhimo, President of the Western Sumi Hoho (WSH). His sudden passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him and in the collective spirit of the Naga family.
It also stated that, as a President of the WSH, he championed the cause of his people with unwavering resolve and commitment, fostering unity, upholding cultural values, and advocating for the welfare of the people and the broader unresolved Naga political question. Through his tireless efforts, he embodied the true essence of Naga leadership- rooted in service, integrity and an unyielding commitment to our Naga political movement.
The NSCN/GPRN- Reformation further stated that it joins the WSH, the bereaved family and the entire Naga fraternity in mourning this irreplaceable loss and extend our deepest sorrow and stand in solidarity at the hour of profound grief.. It also called to honor Shikaho Zhimo’s legacy by enhancing efforts towards the realization of a just and honorable solution to the Naga issue.

The Kuki Inpi Nagaland: A press release by the media cell of Kuki Inpi Nagaland stated that it is deeply saddened by the passing of Shikaho Zhimo, President of the Western Sumi Hoho, and that his demise has created a void that will be felt not only within the Sumi community but also among all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
The release stated that Shikaho Zhimo was more than a leader by position; he was a man of humility, warmth, and quiet strength. His life was marked by sincere dedication to his people, a deep sense of responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to unity and mutual respect among communities.
The Kuki Inpi Nagaland also extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, the Western Sumi Hoho, and the entire Sumi community and prayed that God grants the comfort, courage, and peace as they mourn the loss of a beloved husband, father, leader, and elder.
