Dimapur: A four member delegation from Nagaland representing Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies (PACS) attended the 5th Foundation Day of the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on July 6.
The programme was graced by Union Home and Cooperation minister, Amit Shah along with other dignitaries, and highlighted the Government of India’s vision of strengthening the cooperative movement and promoting inclusive rural development through the cooperative sector.
The Nagaland delegation comprised Opangtemsu (Mokokchung), Atsubou Sanchu (Kohima), Khriehuto Yase (Kohima), and Lhikhro Kreo (Chümoukedima).
Expressing gratitude to NABARD and the Department of Cooperation, Government of Nagaland, the delegates said the opportunity to participate in the national event was significant in furthering cooperative initiatives and rural development in the state.
