Nagaland Parting social held at GSHSK, Kiphire

Good Shepherd High School, Kiphire (GSHSK), held its parting social eventd on November 8 to bid farewell to the outgoing students.
The programme began with a warm welcome address delivered by the GSHSK, headmaster, who expressed pride in the students’ achievements and encouraged them to continue their journey with determination and humility.
In his message, parent representative, Makhamba, stated that parents work hard to help their children become responsible members of society and reminded the students that the farewell marks not an end, but the beginning of a new chapter in life. “We wish all the students the best for their exams and future endeavours. Study hard and make us proud,” he added.
Good Shepherd Alumni Association president, Longtili C. Sangtam, congratulated the outgoing batch, noting that 38 students were stepping out from Good Shepherd. He urged them to discover their strengths and explore the endless opportunities life offers, adding that each person is called for a different purpose and should continue to pray and work towards it.
He also encouraged parents to recognize their children’s individual talents and interests, emphasizing that “life is not all about government jobs—there’s much more beyond it.”
During his address, Longtili announced the introduction of the Good Shepherd Toppers Award from 2025 onwards, stating that the Alumni Association will honour the state or subject toppers from the school every year.
The event concluded with a closing prayer led by an alumnus of GSHSK, Apiba A. Sangtam.
