The 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) commenced at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on November 14, with Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, Mercy Epao inaugurating the Nagaland Pavilion.
According to PRO NH, New Delhi, Mercy was accompanied by Sharon Longchari, Joint Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House, New Delhi; K. Hekavi Francis, Joint Director and Pavilion Director, Industries & Commerce Department; Thomas Thailu, OSD, Planning & Transformation Department; Koko Metha, Senior Manager, NHD; Anup Rawat, Registrar, NHD; and Atale Kezo, UDA, NHD.
Following the inauguration, Mercy Epao visited the stalls at the State Pavilion and interacted with exhibitors. She encouraged them to avail benefits under the Ministry’s branding and design schemes. The Nagaland Pavilion features a vibrant showcase of the state’s handlooms, handicrafts, food products, and dry flowers.
The 14-day trade fair, which concludes on November 27, includes participation from 12 countries such as the United Arab Emirates, China, South Korea, Iran, and Egypt. Partner states for this year’s edition are Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Bihar, with Jharkhand designated as the focus state.
