The Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA) Women Department hosted the 3rd conference from October 25 to 28 at PBCA Hq under the leadership of P Angbhenla Phom, women secretary PBCA.
According to PBCA, a total of 1560 registered women delegates attended the conference from 55 churches. The conference was themed “Women In-Sights” with working women as the focus group.
The occasion was graced by Ase Pongshi wife of A Pongshi Phom, MLA. In her speech, she encouraged the delegates to remain strong in their commitment and to know one’s identity.
Director of Tribal Affairs, I Sino Phom, who was theme speaker, delivered an engaging message keeping a balance of biblical knowledge and the working world and ethics. Deputy Commissioner of Longleng, W Manpai Phom, who also graced the event, urged the women members to be active in policy making and to be a resourceful mother at home.
Special songs were presented by Emongyunglak, Manchai and Phammei. Session speakers N Tialemba Phom, executive Secretary PBCA and P Angbhenla Phom delivered a life value lesson to working women and delegates.
On the occasion, P Angbhenla Phom also released her original book titled: ‘The Butterfly
in Me: Quotes, thoughts, poetry & quirks”. Dr Wuntei Buchem, Asst Professor at TTC Dimapur introduced the book and was dedicated by N Tialemba Phom, executive secretary PBCA.
