Nagaland pen-down strike: DNSU appeals for early resolution

DIMAPUR, OCT 31 (NPN)

Expressing concern over the disruption of normal government functioning due to ongoing pen-down strike by service associations, the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has appealed to the state government and the service associations to engage in constructive dialogue and arrive at an amicable solution at the earliest.
In a press release, DNSU president Hinoto P Aomi and general secretary Michael Kath acknowledged the genuine concerns raised by the state service employees. However, the union said it was equally mindful of the difficulties faced by the general public due to the disruption of normal government functioning.
Dimapur Naga Students’ Union stated that essential services and administrative works have been affected, causing inconvenience to students, citizens, and the public at large.
The union expressed belief that open communication and mutual understanding were the “best means” to address differences and restore normalcy in public service.
