Office of the Joint Controller of Communication Accounts (Jt. CCA), Department of Telecommunications, NE-II Circle, organised a Pension Adalat on February 12 at Kohima for pensioners of BSNL and the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). The programme aimed at redressing pension-related grievances and creating awareness on digital pension services.
Officials highlighted the Government’s initiative to promote Facial Authentication Technology for submission of Digital Life Certificates, explaining its convenience through the JeevanPramaan app which enables pensioners to complete the process from home.
Pensioners were also sensitised on the SAMPANN pension portal and its integration with DigiLocker, ensuring easy access to important pension documents.
Grievances raised by pensioners were addressed during the Adalat, and feedback was collected to further improve pension services. Joint Controller of Communication Accounts, Sri K. Sajal, remarked that the event reflected the Government’s continued commitment to ease of living for pensioners through digital empowerment and welfare measures.
