Primary Health Centre (PHC) Wozhuro under Wokha district celebrated its 25th anniversary on October 29.
According to Chief Medical Officer’s Office Wokha, the anniversary plaque was released by principal director, department of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. E. Motsuthung Patton, in the presence of Chief Medical Officer of Wokha, Dr. Zubenthung Kikon after a dedicatory prayer by pastor Phiro Baptist Church, Rev. Rapvuo Odyuo.
Speaking at the program, Dr. E. Motsuthung expressed gratitude to all medical officers and staff for their tireless efforts in ensuring the health center’s smooth operation since its inception. He also acknowledged the landowners who donated land for the center and highlighted their significant contributions to the community.
CMO Wokha, Dr. Zubenthung Kikon called for community cooperation to improve health services. He noted that the celebration brought the community together and appreciated the landowners for clearing the jungle at the health center premises.
The programme was chaired by Medical Officer PHC Wozhuro Dr. Renathung M. Kithan and attended by medical staffs, Wozhuro Range Council Union Chairman, Yanbemo Tungoe, chairman land donors, Myinthungo Khuvung, former director, medical department, Dr. N. Mhabemo Kithan, HCMC chairman Chumbenthung Khuvung, Meriyan village chairman Alow Khuvung, civil society leaders from Totsu, Shaki, Phiro, Sankiton, L. Yanthung and village community members.
