Nagaland: Phek DPDB discusses teacher shortage

The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for Phek district was held on February 13 at DC’s Conference Hall, chaired by ADC Phek, Thehakhrienuo Nisa, with the presence of advisor for CAWD & Taxes and DPDB chairman Kudecho Khamo and Dr. Neisatuo Mero MLA.
According to DIPR report, the board deliberated on the shortage of teachers at GMS Metsale village, where only three teachers manage 86 students. Khamo assured the matter would be taken up with the Education department. The house also rejected adoption of the National Highway Act, 1956, citing Article 371A. A locally innovated low-cost dryer by Swuyievezo Dzudo was appreciated, with suggestions for government support.
