Nagaland Phek Inter-Departmental Tournament 2025 concludes

The Inter-Departmental Tournament 2025, Phek, concluded on November 6 after three days of spirited competition and fellowship among government departments. The closing ceremony was held at the Badminton Stadium, Phek, following the finals of arm wrestling, table tennis and badminton in both men’s and women’s categories.
According to a DIPR report, Divisional Forest Officer Phek, Enyiwekho Wezah, graced the occasion as the special guest. In his address, Wezah expressed gratitude to the district administration led by the Deputy Commissioner, the tournament organizers, Heads of Offices, participants, and departmental staff for their cooperation. He emphasized that the tournament was not only as a platform for sports but also as a means to unwind from daily responsibilities and foster inter-departmental rapport.
Delivering the closing remarks, Executive Engineer, Water Resources Phek, Er. Yhunkolo Kath, highlighted the core values of the tournament — unity, friendship and oneness. He underscored that participation held greater significance than victory, encouraging all departments to continue nurturing a spirit of togetherness.
The programme was chaired by District Employment Officer Phek, Kulo Kezo. A special musical performance was presented by Ruveno Huire, and the event concluded with a closing prayer offered by Pastor of Pochury Baptist Church, Phek Town, Wavitho Nyuwi.
