Nagaland Photography festival begins

Staff Reporter

The 4th Nagaland Photography Festival 2025 opened with a splash of art, culture, and entertainment at Mandeville Garden, Burana Bazaar, Dimapur, on Friday. Organised by the Photography Club Dimapur (PCD), this year’s theme “Vision 360 – Vision in Every Direction” promises a power-packed weekend of creativity and performances.
Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister, Y. Patton, graced the inaugural as special guest, calling the event a unique platform that unites photographers, musicians, entrepreneurs, and culture promoters on one stage. He praised PCD for “reflecting the spirit of collaboration and learning,” adding that festivals like this spotlight the youth’s creativity while also promoting tourism and heritage.
Patton also highlighted the festival’s youthful energy with its mix of photography exhibitions, cosplay events, music evenings, and startup showcases, calling it “an investment in the future of society.”
The opening day didn’t just stop at speeches, it flexed its entertainment muscle with a thrilling arm-wrestling super exhibition match featuring six national-level players from Nagaland. The adrenaline rush was followed by a high-voltage music session, with rapper Moko Koza bringing the house down as the showstopper.
PCD Vice President Sorei Jagoi delivered the welcome address, while Convenor Mireuyi Herie offered the vote of thanks, setting the tone for the two-day celebration of lenses, lights, and limitless imagination.
With workshops, performances, and exhibitions lined up, the festival is all set to keep Dimapur buzzing with art, energy, and entertainment.
