Nagaland: Pilgrim HSS launches Foundation Program for students

DIMAPUR

Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, inaugurated its Foundation Program for Classes VIII to X at the M. Kikon Auditorium on February 5, 2025, aimed at strengthening academic fundamentals and preparing students for competitive examinations.
The programme was graced by Youth Icon of Nagaland, Rishv Sethi, software engineer, JEE-2016 Nagaland topper and CEO, NITI Nagaland, who delivered the keynote address.
Rishv motivated students to pursue excellence with discipline, consistency and strong conceptual foundations, stressing the importance of early preparation and right mentorship in shaping future success.
Assistant headmaster, Sana Singh, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the vision of the Foundation Program in nurturing academic excellence from an early stage. The event was chaired by Akito Shohe.
Managing director of NITI Nagaland, Ajay Sethi, encouraged students to dream big and remain committed to their goals, while expressing gratitude to parents and students for their trust in the institution and the School Integrated Program (SIP).
Adding academic depth, IITian faculty members Jaydeep Pandit and Aniket Sahu exhorted students to build strong fundamentals in science and mathematics, adopt effective learning strategies and cultivate curiosity and perseverance.
Administrator of Pilgrim Higher Secondary, Bithungo Kikon, delivered the acknowledgement speech, appreciating the collective efforts of dignitaries, faculty, students, parents and staff in making the inauguration a success.
The event witnessed participation of over 200 students and more than 50 teachers and parents, reflecting strong community support. A major highlight was the announcement of 100% scholarships for school toppers expected to secure 95% marks in science and mathematics in the HSLC exams, for the SIP scheduled to commence on April 1.
The institution extended best wishes to HSLC and HSSLC examinees, encouraging them to remain confident and focused. The inauguration marked a significant milestone in Pilgrim Higher Secondary’s commitment to academic excellence, holistic development and future-ready education in Nagaland.
