KOHIMA, SEP 22 (NPN): Nagaland players Vikehelie Suohu and Kezhaletuo Semou recorded notable finishes at the World Darts Federation (WDF) 1st Indian International Open held on September 11 and 12 at The Lalit Great Eastern Hotel, Kolkata.
Suohu secured a joint third-place finish in the Open Singles category and received a cash prize of Rs. 50,000. He reached the semi-final before losing 3-5 to Japan’s Tomoya Goto.
Suohu also finished runner-up in the Mixed Doubles event, partnering Muskan of West Bengal. The pair received Rs. 10,000 each for their runner-up finish.
Semou finished joint fifth in the Open Singles category and received a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. His campaign ended in the quarter-final, where he lost to Mohan Goel of West Bengal.
In the Open Doubles, Suohu and Semou reached the semi-final, where they lost to the Gujarat pairing of Shubham Patel and Vicky Patel. They finished joint third in the event.
The tournament was organised under the aegis of the World Darts Federation and brought together players from across India and abroad.
