Nagaland police has issued a clarification regarding social media posts that has created confusion on the amount of TA/DA for Nagaland Police jawans on election duty. In a press note, Nagaland police said that as per ROP 2017, Group C’ deployed outside the state was Rs. 1500/-.
However, as per Office Memorandum (OM) dated August 8 2023 and subsequent OM dated April 9, 2024, government has reviewed the rate of Duty Allowance (DA) outside the state and reduced the rate to Rs. 550/-.
This has been done keeping in view the ration, transportation and accommodation provided free of charge to the uniformed personnel on duty, it said. Therefore, Nagaland police has requested that misleading posts on social media should be avoided.
