Nagaland: Police recruitment rally held across several districts

Nagaland police recruitment rally, which began on January 7, entered second day on Thursday. More than 32,000 candidates have applied for 1,176 constable (GD) posts in Nagaland police.
The rally held across several districts saw participation from thousands of aspirants vying for limited vacancies.
The police department has assured that selection process would be merit-based, adding it would be conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner.
Recruitment rally for Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts was held at NAPTC, Chümoukedima on Thursday. In today’s rally, candidates from Ao and Chang communities underwent physical and medical tests. It may be mentioned that 29 posts have been recovered for Ao community while one post has been reserved for Chang community.
In Noklak, the Noklak District Level Screening Committee (DLSC) conducted the police recruitment rally at public ground Noklak.
DSLC Noklak presiding officer Kuhovi Sema, DIG (Range) Mokokchung, while briefing the candidates, requested them to follow the rules and cooperate with the recruitment officer for the successful conduct of the recruitment.
Altogether, 1344 candidates (1127 male and 217 female) are appearing for 42 posts under Noklak.
In Zunheboto, the second day of the ongoing police recruitment rally witnessed the screening of candidates bearing chest numbers 752 to 1606 at the police reserve ground, DEF Zunheboto.
Aspirants continued to participate in the physical and medical verification tests under the supervision of concerned officials. The rally is being conducted in an orderly manner, with adequate arrangements in place to ensure transparency and safety throughout the selection process.
In Kiphire, second day of the recruitment rally was conducted at the parade ground of the 14th NAP (IR) Battalion, Okhezung, Kiphire. Candidates bearing serial numbers KIPSAN0001 to KIPSAN0500 are participating in the ongoing medical and physical examinations. The recruitment process is scheduled to continue until January 13, 2026.
Candidates who qualify in the physical and medical standards and successfully clear the Physical Efficiency Tests will be shortlisted for the written examination based on the ratio fixed by the departmental recruitment board. A separate notification will be issued after the completion of the physical and medical tests. The written examination is scheduled to be held on January 20, 2026 at Kiphire Town.
In Mon, the second day of the recruitment rally was held at Mon local ground on Thursday.
Candidates with serial numbers 1001 to 2000 underwent the Medical Standard Test and PST/PET, including running, high jump, and long jump.
