Nagaland police update crime reports

DIMAPUR: As part of its drive against the menace of drugs and psychotropic substances, Nagaland police took proactive steps from March 13 to 26 and registered 20 cases where 26 persons were arrested.
According to a DIPR report, the police conducted 62 house raids and 2535 vehicles were checked.
During this period, the police seized: two plastic tobacco pack containing half suspected heroin each, 71.64 grams of brown sugar, 23 kgs of ganja, 643 caps of Spasmo Proxyvon, 270 bottles of cough syrup, 450 caps of Tramadol, 200 Dicyclomine Hydrocloride & Paracetamol, 3351 bottles of IMFL, one point 32 pistol and one point 22 pistol and 1,014 ammunition.
The police has reiterated its appeal to the public, to combat the menace jointly by providing any information related to sale, distribution and transport of any form of narcotics, drugs and IMFL to the nearest police station or Nagaland police officers whose CUG phone numbers are available on the “Call Your Cop” mobile App.
