Nagaland polling for Ward 11 seat in PTC held peacefully

DIMAPUR

Polling for the vacant seat at Ward 11 (Zhipa) under Pfutsero Town Council was successfully conducted on October 28, with a voter turnout of 87.09 per cent. The contest was held between two Independent candidates.
According to the State Election Commission (SEC), Nagaland, T. John Longkumer IPS retd, the polling was conducted peacefully without any untoward incidents or law and order issues. Counting of votes and declaration of results will take place on October 31.
SEC acknowledged and commended the efforts of the entire election machinery in Phek district, including the Returning Officer and her team, DC Phek and his officials, Election Observer, SP Phek and her team in the district and in Pfutsero sub division, polling officials, ward authorities, voters, and civil society organisations for their roles in ensuring the smooth conduct of the poll.
The Commission also appealed for continued support and cooperation from all stakeholders during the counting process.
