Power department has informed that there would be shutdown of 132/66/33kV 2x100MVA Nagarjan sub-station on October 26, 2024 from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. to facilitate routine maintenance of 132kV Bus-bar, Switchyard Equipment’s and power transformers.
In a press release, transmission division executive engineer stated that during the shutdown period, power supply to the districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Peren would be affected. Acknowledging the inconvenience, the department has also requested cooperation from all.
Power outage in Kohima: Power department, electrical division Kohima, has informed that there would be scheduled power outage on October 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. affecting various colonies and villages due to essential maintenance work on the 33KV line at the New Secretariat area for construction of Nagaland State Emergency Operation Center at Capital Complex.
The locations to be affected include Merema village, Thizama village, CMRC, Nagaland assembly complex and Phezoucha.
In a press release, electrical division executive engineer Shiludi Longkumer informed that the maintenance was crucial for ensuring the reliability and safety of the electrical supply in the region.
The department apologised for any inconvenience the power outage may cause. It appreciated the understanding and cooperation of the residents during the outage period.
The department also advised residents to take necessary precautions and plan accordingly.
