Nagaland: Power shutdown in parts of Kohima

DIMAPUR, FEB 4 (NPN)

Power department has informed that there would be power shutdown in parts of Kohima starting February 4-24, 2026 from 5am to 8am.
In a press release, electrical division Kohima executive engineer (E) Shiludi Longkumer informed that the shutdown was being necessitated to facilitate replacement and upgradation of existing HT and LT Lines from High School Junction to New Assembly Complex.
The areas to be affected include parts of Lower Bayavu, New Secretariat Complex area, Phezoucha, Merubotsa, New Assembly Complex, CMRC, Thizama, Phezou, Meriema, Social Welfare Department Junction to New High Court Junction.
Therefore, the department has advised the consumers in the affected areas to take necessary precautions and plan accordingly.
