Nagaland: Prerna Utsav inspires students at KV Project Sewak

Prerna Utsav was successfully conducted at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Project Sewak, Dimapur, on February 11 with enthusiastic participation of students and teachers. The programme aimed at motivating students to recognise their inner potential, build confidence, and strive for excellence in academics as well as co-curricular activities.
Altogether six schools participated in the event with 85 children representing PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Project Sewak, St. Mary Higher Secondary School, Livingstone Foundation International, Hope Academy Dimapur, Charis High Academy and HMC School Dimapur.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by an inspiring address from the principal, M.H. Shimray, who emphasised the importance of determination, discipline and dedication in achieving goals. He highlighted the role of such initiatives in nurturing values of leadership, teamwork and national pride among students.
Competitions were held in songs, essay writing, poem recitation, drawing and caricature, encouraging creativity and self-expression. Students shared their experiences and aspirations, inspiring peers to contribute positively towards nation-building in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The winners of the programme were Vivek Saran (Class XI) from Livingstone Foundation International and Ankita Sharma (Class XI) from St. Mary Hr. Sec. School. Both will represent the district at Vadnagar, Gujarat, for the next level of competition. The journey will provide opportunities to explore India’s rich culture, history, archaeology and traditional Bhartiya Gyan Parampara, while appreciating heritage through modern technology.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the principal, teachers, participants and organising committee. Prerna Utsav proved to be a meaningful initiative, strengthening the spirit of unity, confidence and excellence among students.
