Pro Rural, a humanitarian NGO in the North East region, organised a public consultation-cum-medical health camp on January 13 at Samziuram Village Council Hall, Jalukie, Peren district, under the aegis of HCL Grant India with the theme “Healthcare access for every family.”
The camp witnessed a gathering of 126 people, particularly senior citizens seeking healthcare support.
In the first session, the programme was graced by Vikoho Puro, EAC Peren, representing the Deputy Commissioner. In his address, he underscored the importance of preventive healthcare through healthy lifestyles and good food habits. He also highlighted various government schemes and health cards available for public welfare.
From the office of the Chief Medical Officer, Peren, two doctors—Dr. Kiholi, DTO DACO, and Dr. Viholi, DPO NCD—were deputed to support the camp.
Following the consultation, the medical health camp commenced with strong participation from both young and old. Six health specialists, including dental surgeons, optometrists and family medicine specialists, conducted free medical check-ups.
