Nagaland Public Works Department (NPWD) organised a farewell programme in honour of Er. P. I. Imna Ao, engineer-in-chief, and Er. Hozheto Shikhu, chief engineer (housing), on October 31, at the NPWD Conference Hall, Kohima.
The event was attended by senior officers , HODs of different department of NPWD , representative from minister P. Bashangmongba Chang , minister for housing and mechanical engineering and minister G Kaito Aye, Minister of PWD (R&B) along with the staff of the department.
In their farewell addresses, Er. P. I. Imna Ao and Er. Hozheto Shikhu expressed heartfelt gratitude to their colleagues and shared words of encouragement, urging the younger officers to continue working with sincerity and commitment for the welfare of the people.
A presentation was made in honour of the outgoing officers, acknowledging their decades of dedicated service, leadership, and contributions to the department and the state’s infrastructure development.
A special musical number titled “Goodness of God” was also presented, reflecting gratitude and goodwill for the retirees.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by executive engineer, Er. Imnameren Imchenand and invocation by Tiameina Sangtam. A group song was presented by the staff of the chief engineer (Housing), followed by speeches from chief architect (NPWD), Ar. V. Neilazo Metha, chief engineer (PEP), Er. K. Imnajungba Jamir, superintending engineer, Er. Fineson Pojar, superintending engineer PWD (H) Er. T. Nungsangtemjen and registrar, Kroneicho Naki.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by superintending engineer, Er. C. Hendo Sumao, followed by a fellowship luncheon.
