Phom Union Kohima (PUK) organised free health camp for its members at Kohima Phom Baptist Church (KPBC) premises on September 22 after the Sunday devotional service.
The camp was carried out by renowned doctors from NHAK and private doctors.
The medical team included- Dr. Zhimatho (ENT), Dr. Imtisunep (Medicine), Dr. Azo Louis (Obs & Gynae), Dr. Akatoli Angto (Pediatrician), Dr. Ngailong (Dentist), Dr. Dietho (Anesthesiology), Dr. Mannen Phom (Anesthesiology), and Dr. Angto Phom (Anesthesiology).
PUK president Imti Mokholee Phom, acknowledged the MD, NHAK for deputing requisite number of doctors and directorate of Health & Family Welfare for supplying the medicines. He also acknowledged the contribution of Dr. S. Manyau Phom, Dr. Angto Phom and Dr. Akatoli Angto who helped the union in organising the camp.
Altogether, 169 patients including elderly, women and children availed the free medical service provided by the Union which was conducted based on its resolution to provide community service. The camp immensely benefitted those patients having various health issues and also served as a ‘wake up’ call even for those who have been neglecting their own health.
