Nagaland: RBC Women Department celebrates 75th anniv

DIMAPUR

Rünguzumi Baptist Church (RBC) Women Department, in collaboration with Rünguzumi Combine Mothers’ Fellowship, celebrated its 75th anniversary from December 13–14 at Rünguzumi village, Phek district.
Delivering the keynote message on the theme “Rooted in Faith and Growing in Love” (Ephesians 3:17), Neingupe-ü K. Rhakho, women secretary of Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC), highlighted God’s faithfulness across generations. She reflected on the strong foundation of faith laid by earlier leaders of the village, which continues to guide and shape the present generation.
Quoting Romans 10:17, she emphasized that faith rooted in the word of God remains the foundation of Christian life and a source of hope and strength during times of sickness, temptation, failure and even death. She reminded the congregation of God’s sacrificial love revealed through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ for the salvation of humanity.
Urging mothers and parents to prioritize their children’s wellbeing, she appealed to all parents to abstain from alcohol and tobacco use and cautioned against excessive mobile phone use by children. She encouraged parents to nurture their children through prayer and biblical teachings from an early age.
Calling upon the congregation, she urged them to rededicate and recommit themselves to God, renewing their spiritual life through God’s mission.
Other speakers at the celebration included Dukhrülü Lohe, (Retd) joint director, RD, and Vezovolü Vero, secretary of Women Department, CBCMH Kohima.
The two-day celebration marked a significant milestone in the history of the church’s women’s ministry and witnessed participation of women members from Kohima, Dimapur, Phek, Chozuba and Rünguzu Nasa units, making the occasion both memorable and spiritually enriching.
