Nagaland’s millennials lead spiritual renewal

The Nagaland Revival & Healing services held at the under-construction Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex, Dimapur, set a historic benchmark Wednesday evening, drawing one of the largest gatherings the state has witnessed in recent years. Conservative estimates placed attendance at over 70,000, while several observers reported the crowd nearing one lakh. Every available space in the unfinished arena was filled with expectant participants-a majority of who are young people-seeking spiritual renewal and healing.
Organised by “The Gatekeepers”, a group of millennials (30 to 44 age group), the 3-day worship and healing, is conducted by Apostle Ankit Sajwan, a dynamic young revivalist from the Family of Lord Jesus Church, New Delhi.
Apostle Ankit Sajwan called the gathering “historic,” noting that the revival had drawn national attention. Though many expected low turnout due to the Hornbill Festival, he said the overwhelming crowd proved that “passionate believers who love Jesus are always present” adding that the worship and healing service was not competing with any cultural celebration.
Sajwan shared a prophetic vision of an “army of young people,” symbolised as riders on winged horses, carrying God’s message beyond boundaries. He affirmed that he only represented Christ alone while declaring that “Christ is not divided.” Sawan expressed a deep God-given love for the Naga people, and desiring every Naga to love God’s Word.
Speaking on deliverance from addiction, sickness, and bondage, he said believers need not beg for freedom. Citing John 8:31–32 and John 17:17, he emphasized that genuine liberation comes through remaining in God’s Word and encountering His truth-not through tears or repeated prayers.
He began his message by asking, “What does it mean to be a Christian, and why did Jesus come?” and telling the youth that God has prepared an upward, victorious life for them.
He said being born again is a spiritual reality rather than a denomination. Calling believers a “chosen generation,” he reminded them that victory is in their spiritual DNA and urged them to recognise their God-given authority. He noted that many remain unaware of this. He therefore, encouraged the crowd to receive healing through God’s blessing, affirming that understanding one’s identity in Christ breaks every lie of insignificance.
He concluded by saying that the revival is about a generation rising-sons and daughters demonstrating to the world how followers of Christ are meant to live.
He urged young people to walk in confidence, declaring that those who know their identity in Christ will “know no depression” and will not be hearers only but put their faith into action.
During prayers for divine healing, there were numerous testimonies from participants who reported experiencing physical restoration. A man bedridden for eight months stood and walked, while a woman carried to the venue due to mobility issues was later seen walking unaided. A participant with severe vision impairment claimed restored clarity, and a cancer patient who struggled to move reportedly began walking freely. A visitor from Udaipur arrived being carried but walked during the service. Several people reported relief from chronic back pain, alongside accounts of improved hearing and eyesight.
With thousands attending in expectation, the meeting continues with worship, preaching, and healing sessions through December 4.
