Rengma Hoho during its general executive body meeting held on January 9 at Town Hall, Tseminyu, has approved the constitution (4th amendment) and elected new office bearers for the 2026–2028 tenure.
The new team will be led by Gwasinlo Thong as president, Khillo and Philip Kent as vice presidents, Thomas K. Rengma as general secretary and Anilo Rengma as secretary. The meeting also resolved to induct the Rengma Nzonkhwen Literature Board, Rengma Nthenyi Literature Board, and the Rengma Sports Association into the Rengma Hoho executive.
The meeting chaired by vice president Timothy Thong began with an invocation by Rev. Tusaya Kath, pastor of AG Church. Vice president Hanenmu Semy delivered the welcome address, while Er. Tesinlo Semy delivered the keynote address. Theme speaker, Rev. Dr. Phanenmo Kath, Professor Eastern Theological College, Jorhat, spoke on “Reformation of Leadership in the Contemporary Rengma Context.” The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Sentilo Wanth and benediction by Rev. Sukhi Mesen, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church.
