Nagaland Rev. Franklin Graham’s visit cancelled over visa issue

DIMAPUR, NOV 28 (NPN)

Kohima Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (KBPF) has informed due to “unforeseen visa-related circumstances” Rev. Franklin Graham would not be able to attend the programme scheduled for November 30, 2025.
In a press release, KBPF President Rev. Dr. Ruokuovilie Sachü and secretary Dr. S. N. Among Jamir have, however, stated that the proposed event would proceed as planned under the revised title: “Nagaland United: A Gathering of Faith, Hope and Revival.”
KBPF informed that Rev. Robert Cunville, a respected Associate Evangelist of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, who was closely associated with the historic Billy Graham Crusade in Nagaland in 1972, would share the Word of God.
Stating that the core purpose of the programme remained unchanged, KBPF said it was being organised to bring together believers from all tribes, denominations, and backgrounds—young and old, rich and poor into a united time of praise, prayer, and worship to the living God.
KBPF assured that the event would be a unique and historic moment for Nagaland to stand together as one body in Christ.
Further, the fellowship informed that the programme would feature praise and worship, intercessory prayer and a mass choir of more than 700 members representing various tribal churches.
It stated that extensive transport arrangements have been made to facilitate smooth movement to and from the venue. Free transportation would be available from designated pickup points across Kohima starting 12 noon onward.
A detailed traffic advisory with vehicle routes, shuttle services, and parking instructions would be published on Sunday morning for public convenience, KBPF stated.
KBPF has, therefore, invited all believers and well-wishers to join the significant event at Indira Gandhi (IG) Stadium, Kohima, and to uphold the gathering in prayer. For any queries related to the event, one could contact the Control Room: +91-9436011575, +91- 98628 11277.
