Nagaland: Review meet, inspection on PM-DeVINE & NEC schemes in Dimapur

A review meeting on the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North East (PM-DeVINE) and schemes of the North Eastern Council (NEC) was held on January 17 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur. The meeting was chaired by joint secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), Angshuman Dey.
According to a DIPR report, the session focused on reviewing the utilisation of released funds, submission of project demands, and progress reports under PM-DeVINE and NEC schemes. All concerned departments attended and presented updated reports on the implementation of their respective projects.
During the visit, Dey inspected the construction works of the 220/132kV (2×100 MVA) and 132/33kV (2×50 MVA) Tsitronge–Dimapur substation under PM-DeVINE. He also reviewed the upgradation works at the Radiation Oncology Department of the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur.
On January 18, Dey continued inspections of ongoing PM-DeVINE and NEC projects in Dimapur district. He visited Thiluxu village to review an NEC-funded coffee value addition project, which includes coffee roasting machines and entrepreneurship training. The project aims to enhance market access, strengthen local enterprises, and improve income for coffee growers and entrepreneurs.
He also inspected the construction of a Common Facility Centre (CFC) Emporium for Handloom and Handicraft at Agri Expo Nagaland, implemented by the Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board (NKVIB), and the Cane and Bamboo Technology facility at the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre under the Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA).
He was accompanied by director, MDoNER S. D. Meena, development commissioner, TemsunaroAier, additional director, Department of Land Resources, Hekato N, chief engineer (Transmission & Generation), Er. Kasho Chishi, secretary, Power Department, Asangla Imti, state mission director, Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA), Kuku Mero, and team member, Dr. Tolto Metha, NBDA along with other departmental officials.
