Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio attended the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Union Chümoukedima (ENPUC) on Saturday.
In a post on X, Rio said he was happy to be part of the celebration, describing the 25-year milestone as “a journey of unity and collective progress.” He expressed gratitude to the founding members and the children of pioneers for carrying forward the vision and legacy of the Union.
Rio said that over the past 25 years, ENPUC has served as a pillar of fraternity, mutual support and cultural pride. Through the efforts of its leaders and members, the Union has nurtured a sense of belonging and enriched the social and cultural life of Chümoukedima.
He also commended the people of Eastern Nagaland for their contributions to the State in public service, education, business and other fields, adding that recent achievements in agriculture, community service and the arts reflect their commitment and perseverance.
“As we celebrate the Silver Jubilee, let us honour the pioneers whose vision and dedication founded the Union,” Rio said, congratulating ENPUC on its milestone and wishing the organisation greater achievements, stronger unity and lasting prosperity in the years ahead.
Host of legislators, members of the civil societies and well-wishers also attended the programme.
