Nagaland: RTA new traffic rules for Kohima

DIMAPUR, JAN 27 (NPN)

Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Kohima at a meeting held on January 21, 2026, decided to implement following traffic regulations with immediate effect.
In an order, the deputy commissioner (DC) & Regional Transport Authority, Kohima chairman B. Henok Buchem notified that D-Block to Congress Bhavan stretch would remain a one-way route– only entry of vehicles would be permitted from D-Block heading towards the Congress Bhavan.
DC Office Junction to South Gate (Khuochiezie Local Ground) section would be converted to a two-way road—vehicles arriving from D-Block or descending from DC Office Junction would exit through the Khuochiezie Local Ground bypass road.
Y-Junction (Phoolbari) to South Gate (Khuochiezie Local Ground) would remain restricted to one-way only.
Vehicle parking along South Gate to DC Office Junction would be restricted and regulated as per the availability of designated parking space.
