Safer Internet Day was observed at DC’s Conference Hall, Phek on February 10, 2026 under the theme “Smart Tech, Safe Choices- Exploring the Safe and Responsible use of IA”.
According to DIPR report, deputy commissioner, Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, administrative officers and officials from various department participated in the program.
An awareness workshop programme was also conducted to mark the occasion focusing on promoting cyber hygiene, raise awareness about key cyber threats, effective mitigation techniques, and responsible use of Internet and IA among citizens. These aspects were highlighted through PowerPoint presentation by Dhermendra K. Bhargv, DIO (NIC), Phek.
