DIMAPUR

Akuhaito Aspirational Block officially launched Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Zunheboto, on February 2, 2026.
According to DIPR report, key indicators under the programme include children (6 months–6 years) receiving supplementary nutrition regularly through ICDS, efficiency of child measurements at Anganwadi centres, operational Anganwadi centres with functional toilets and drinking water facilities under Health and Nutrition. In the Education sector, indicators cover schools with adequate girls’ toilet facilities, while under Agri and Allied sector, the percentage of bovine animals vaccinated against FMD is scheduled to be completed within two and a half months.
In his welcome address, EAC Atoizu and Nodal Officer, Akuhaito Aspirational Block, Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak, reflected on the block’s journey over the past two years, highlighting challenges and achievements. He noted that the block had secured the 8th rank at the national level and urged stakeholders to recommit towards achieving 100 percent saturation. He called upon all departments to work collectively so that the benefits of the scheme reach the grassroots.
Delivering the keynote address and administering the pledge, Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, expressed concern over the block’s current performance compared to other aspirational blocks. He assured full support to strengthen the initiative.
Presentations were made by the Social Welfare Department, Chief Veterinary Officer, Zunheboto, and AEO, Zunheboto. The vote of thanks was delivered by Tsoinchu Sangtam, EAC (HQ), Zunheboto. DC directed that all fieldwork under the programme be completed by March 31.
