SCERT conducts Phase 2 training on SEL in Kohima

DIMAPUR

State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Nagaland, in collaboration with Dream a Dream, conducted Phase 2 of the State Resource Group (SRG) training on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) from February 24 to 27 at SCERT office, Kohima.
The four-day programme brought together 19 faculty members from District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs), designated as SRG members, to deepen their engagement with SEL, building on the foundation laid in the earlier training. Sessions were experiential and aimed at strengthening participants’ understanding of SEL as an approach to teaching and learning.
Facilitated by Dream a Dream trainers, the programme focused on enhancing empathy towards children, strengthening self-awareness among educators, and building facilitation skills—particularly validation—to create safe, supportive and joyful learning environments.
