Nagaland: SCK officials trained on ITR, GST, entrepreneurship development

The Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) successfully conducted a five-day certificate-based Capacity Building Training Programme for Swavalamban Connect Kendras (SCK) manpower from February 9 to 13, 2026.
Organised under the flagship initiative of Small Industries and Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and Government of Nagaland, the programme was attended by SCK officials from all 16 districts, along with representatives from the Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative (CMMFI) Cell and the Accounts Cell of IDAN.
The training covered key thematic areas including Income Tax Return (ITR), Goods & Services Tax (GST), Entrepreneurship Development Programme – Training of Trainers (EDP–ToT), Detailed Project Report (DPR) preparation, and Management Information System (MIS).
I. Changsang, under secretary, IDAN, in his welcome address, highlighted the role of SCKs as grassroots facilitation centres providing entrepreneurs with guidance, capacity building, credit linkages, and handholding support. Abeinuo Jasmine Ashao, under secretary, Finance Department, in her inaugural remarks, emphasised financial literacy, regulatory compliance, and institutional strengthening.
Sessions on ITR and GST were conducted by Chartered Accountant Harish Agarwal, while Vizoto Alfred Rolnu, inspector, Income Tax Department, Dimapur, provided contextual insights. The EDP–ToT module was conducted by the Entrepreneur School of Business (ESB), equipping participants with mentoring skills. DPR training was facilitated by SBI AMCC branch, Kohima, while MIS sessions focused on systematic data management and performance tracking.
The valedictory programme was graced by Imtimenla, additional secretary, Finance Department, who lauded the initiative and underscored the need for continuous capacity building to strengthen grassroots institutions.
The five-day programme reaffirmed IDAN’s commitment to empowering SCK teams to drive entrepreneurship, promote financial literacy, and contribute to sustainable economic development across Nagaland.
