Nagaland: Second randomization of EVMs and VVPATs

The office of the CEO, Nagaland, has announced the schedule for the second randomization and preparation of EVMs and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) to be used in the upcoming bye-election to the 28-Koridang Assembly Constituency.
According to the press note by CEO, Nagaland, Bhagyashree Banayat, the second randomization of EVMs and VVPATs was conducted by the Returning Officer on March 27, through the Election Commission of India’s EVM Management System (EMS). The preparation of the machines is scheduled for March 30. These processes are carried out in the presence of contesting candidates or their representatives. Lists of EVMs and VVPATs allocated polling station-wise, along with reserve machines, will be shared with all candidates. These machines will be used at the designated polling stations on poll day.
