Department of Education, Peren Government College (PGC) conducted impactful seminar on Mental Health and Stress Management on October 24.
A press release from PGC informed that assistant professor, Pauzikonne delivered comprehensive talk on mental health, highlighting key issues such as need for social interaction, dual impacts of social media, and actionable solutions such as screen time limits, digital detox, digital literacy, and seeking professional help when necessary.
She emphasized on significance of social interaction and discussed positive and negative impacts of social media, offering strategies such as limiting screen time, digital detox, and seeking professional help when necessary. “Having a healthy mind is just as important as having a healthy body,” Pauzikonne concluded.
Assistant professor Dr. Changneu Ndang stressed on stress management, exploring causes, effects, and strategies for dealing with stress. She explained difference between acute and chronic stress, its various physical, intellectual, and emotional symptoms, and offered methods to manage stress through self-care, time management, meditation, and self-motivation.
Dr. Ndang further introduced the Five C’s of stress management, Challenge, Cope, Control, Communicate, and Cooperate, as essential tools for handling stressful situations.
