Nagaland is participating in the Bharat Utsav – Festival of India, being held from July 5 to 13 at Manezhnaya Square, Moscow, Russia. The event is organised by the Indian Embassy in Moscow with support from the Moscow City Government, a DIPR report stated.
The festival highlights India’s rich cultural heritage and growing entrepreneurial spirit on the global stage.
A Nagaland delegation including senior officials and dignitaries is attending the event. Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, advisor to CM & IDAN Chairman Abu Metha, and advisor for Industries & Commerce Hekani Jakhalu are expected to join, along with other department officials.
Department of Industries & Commerce is coordinating Nagaland’s participation while director P. Tokugha Sema is leading the official delegation, which includes selected entrepreneurs showcasing local crafts, indigenous products, and enterprise-led innovations at a dedicated Nagaland stall.
Adding to the cultural experience, a traditional music and dance troupe from Nagaland, deputed by the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), is performing at the festival.
The initiative reflects the government’s efforts to promote local industries and startups through international platforms.
