Nagaland: SIHM Dimapur honours IndiaSkills silver medalist in Restaurant Service

The State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), Dimapur organised a felicitation programme at its campus to celebrate the achievement of Imtisangla Kangshou, a Diploma in Food & Beverage Service student, who secured the Silver Medal in the Restaurant Service category at the Regional Level of the IndiaSkills Competition 2025–26.
The event was graced by District Employment Officer (DEO) Dimapur, Gideon L. Sumi, as chief guest. In his address, Sumi underscored the importance of skill development, discipline and perseverance in shaping successful careers. He urged students to take part in national-level skill competitions, describing them as vital platforms for professional growth and recognition.
SIHM CEO, Ashok Sethi, felicitated Imtisangla for her commendable performance and also acknowledged Ngvuhilo Kent, a BSc. 1st year student, for representing the institute at the competition. He lauded their dedication and consistent efforts.
Principal of SIHM, Deepak Srivastava, congratulated both students for their determination and commitment to excellence. He encouraged the student community to draw inspiration from their journey, stressing that hard work, focused training and confidence are essential for success in the hospitality industry.
The programme concluded on a note of pride and motivation, reaffirming SIHM Dimapur’s commitment to nurturing skilled professionals and promoting student participation in national and international skill platforms.
