Nagaland: Škoda expands Kylaq line-up; marks 50,000 sales

DIMAPUR, FEB 4 (NPN)

Škoda Auto India, after registering its most successful year of sales in 2025, has expanded the variant mix of its best-selling SUV, the Kylaq, as part of its strategy to democratise European technology on Indian roads. The announcement coincides with the Kylaq’s first anniversary and the brand’s 25th year in India.
Since its launch, the Kylaq has sold over 50,000 units, emerging as a strong pillar of Škoda Auto’s growth story in the country. The SUV’s blend of safety, driving dynamics, technology and value has resonated with customers, making it a key contender in the sub-4m SUV segment.
Škoda Auto India Brand Director, Ashish Gupta, described the milestone as “truly humbling” and reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to India. He said the expanded line-up was designed with customer-led enhancements, making the Kylaq the most accessible vehicle in its segment with a full-fledged automatic transmission.
The Kylaq range has grown from four variants and seven price points to six variants and 11 price points in 2026. A new Classic+ variant has been introduced between the entry-level Classic and Signature trims, while a Prestige+ now occupies the top end of the line-up.
The Classic+ offers features such as an electric sunroof, Auto IRVM, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, LED headlights and taillights, LED DRLs, and a multi-function steering wheel. It also raises accessibility with a torque-converter automatic transmission.
Popular trims like Signature and Signature+ have been upgraded with additions including paddle-shifters, rear wiper and washer, LED reading lamps, and rain-sensing wipers. The Prestige line has been bifurcated into Prestige and Prestige+, giving buyers more choice among fully-equipped variants.
The Kylaq continues to hold the highest Bharat NCAP crash test ratings in its segment, with six airbags and over 25 safety features standard across all variants. Higher trims offer more than 40 safety features. The SUV also comes with a best-in-segment 4-year standard warranty, 4 years of roadside assistance, and 4 labour-free services.
Škoda has introduced “Check-in” services at 1,000 km and 7,500 km, in addition to periodic maintenance at 15,000 km and 30,000 km, aimed at enhancing transparency and ownership experience.
To celebrate one year of the Kylaq, Škoda Auto India has announced limited-period anniversary offers valid till February 28, 2026. Select variants will carry benefits up to Rs. 50,000, while the one-year Škoda Maintenance Package is available at 50% discount. Customers purchasing any trim will also receive assured gifts.
