Sand Mahaldar Welfare Society lauds Nagaland forest deptt

Sand Mahaldar Welfare Society (SMWS) Bakalia, Karbi Anglong, Assam has expressed appreciation to the Nagaland forest officials for checking illegal sand-laden trucks.

In a press release, SMWS president Bimal Teron stated that some sand-laden trucks without proper legal documents (transit pass) from Karbi Anglong were detained at forest check-gate Khushaibil village at Dimapur on October 29, 2024.

In this regard, SMWS has requested the forest department to take all necessary action against illegal sand-laden trucks as per the law. Lauding the department for its sincerity in providing services, the organisation also requested the forest department to continue the checking activities.
