Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM), Block Mission Management Unit RD Block Jakhama, in collaboration with the Office of State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and Department of Health & Family Welfare, organized a special programme for PwD Self-Help Groups (SHGs) at Kidima village, Kohima on January 29, 2026.
The programme was marked by the distribution of a wheelchair to a PwD SHG member under the “Art of Giving Project”, courtesy of Assistant Superintendent, SCPD, Salie Koza. Program Coordinator, SCPD, Ashe H. Kiba, in his address, emphasized the importance of accessibility and inclusivity for PwDs, while encouraging them to use their collective platform to bring about social change.
Huvostolu Lohe, ANM, Health & Wellness Centre, Kidima, also highlighted the need to address health concerns of PwDs.
Following the distribution, a special health camp was conducted, providing essential healthcare services to PwDs. The event underscored the significance of convergence and collective efforts in driving positive change.
The Village Level Organisation (VLO) under Kidima facilitated the mobilisation of PwDs from the village for the programme.
