Nagaland State FC assesses EDTC

Nagaland State Finance Commission, led by chairperson, Sarah R Ritse, visited the East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) to review its finances, infrastructure, and development projects on June 6.
According to ETC, officials from the Urban Development Department, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), and the Power Department joined the visit to evaluate the town’s overall performance and challenges.
Key discussions focused on revenue generation, sanitation, public utilities, and infrastructure gaps.
The Commission stressed the need for transparent accounting and efficient fund use to support sustainable urban development. Findings from the visit will be included in the Commission’s report, guiding future recommendations for fund allocation and capacity building for urban local bodies.
The Finance Commission recognized the efforts of the Town Council and assured support for improving infrastructure, water supply, power, and essential services to promote better urban governance and growth.
