Nagaland State logs 14 fresh Covid cases, 1 death

Nagaland on Thursday recorded 14 fresh Covid-19 positive cases while one more patient succumbed to the infection.
Of the fresh cases, six were from Kohima, five in Dimapur, two in Wokha and one in Longleng, taking the total caseload to 35,655. One more patient succumbed to Covid-19 in Dimapur, pushing the death toll to 765 (including 5 non-Covid deaths but with positivity). The State currently has 84 active cases out of which 14 are hospitalized.
16.90 lakh vax doses administered in State
Even as India celebrated administering over 200 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses on July 15, the state health & family welfare department Thursday informed that Nagaland has currently administered more than 16.90 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
In a press release, the state immunization officer stated that 58.8% of eligible beneficiaries have been vaccinated with first dose, 46.8% with second dose and more than 42,000 have been vaccinated with precaution dose. As on July 20, the State has more than 1.75 lakh beneficiaries, who are due/overdue for their second dose and more than 5.6 lakh beneficiaries who were eligible for precaution dose. The department has requested all the beneficiaries (due for the first, second and precaution dose ) to avail the services at the earliest in the government CVCs.
