Commissioner & secretary, transport, Robert Longchari, along with OSD (Transport) M. Ababe Ezung, visited the Air India Express office in Gurugram and held a meeting with managing director Alok Singh and vice president Shashi Chetia.
The Nagaland officials thanked Air India Express for continuing its operations to Dimapur and underscored the importance of air connectivity for the state’s growth. They also appreciated the airline’s acceptance to partner with the state for the Hornbill Festival, a significant cultural event that promotes tourism and showcases Nagaland’s rich heritage.
The officials urged Air India Express to consider recruiting more Naga youth in various job openings, further strengthening the partnership between the state and the airline. They also discussed avenues for collaboration in tourism promotion and employment generation.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both sides expressing commitment to further cooperation.
